In the article “Writing Your Way to Happiness”,Parker-Pope(2015) states that writing one’s own experience can develop physical and mental health. The author believes that our world outlook and self-positioning depends on these personal statements. Stanford researchers once carried out a study on the college freshmen. Results showed that writing could encourage people and give them confidence towards their future. Parker also mentions that writing can help people to face the difficulties in their life truly. By taking example of a woman Siri in the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute, she realized her real problems through writing. Thus, it is asserted in the article that writing indeed helps you recognize what hinders you and give you a chance to change them.

Concluding all Parker's saying, he arbitrarily thinks that writing is crucial way making people live better. However, in my own opinion, actually the people develop physical and mental health through introspection, and writing is only one way to get introspection.

In the text's examples, all interviewers are keeping writing, and making progress. People simply own the entire personal progress to keeping dairy. Nevertheless, what on earth helps people get surpassing. In my point of view, it is self-examination helping people, while writing is an approach to assist people thinking themselves deeply then touch their inner hearts to release what they fear to face or what they eager to win. Through communications with own spirits, people can understand themselves more. Thus duties to themselves are born. Once people are aware of their duties and self-actualization needs, they will create a plan and take action. That's why Siri realizes her real problem and changes her behaviors. Writing is real a good way to guide people to their inner heart, but it is not the only way to have self-examination.

Christian encourages people to pray. They believe that god are able to hear the voice from prayer and give people a second chance to start with a clean slate. Peter (2014) says that praying make his life at ease and hopeful. Every time after praying, he feels he is reborn at that moment. It makes him feel guiltless, and he is ready to face all challenges in his life. Praying gives him confidence and strength to overcome all the difficulties. He mentions that praying is like kind of magic to provide people a chance to have self-examination. It allows people to clean their thoughts and encourage them to discover their inner hearts and get a better lives.

Reading also allow people to get introspection. There are so many friends in my life enjoying reading. Sizable of them agree that reading makes them self-examination. Reading gives people a valuable chance to communicate with these excellent celebrities, in which process people may thinking deeply to compare themselves with these get a new view of the world. Thus reading is another way to get a introspection.

In conclusion, hearing the voice from inner heart is the crucial point to lead a better life. And writing is not the only way for people to get self-examination. There also exist ways like praying or reading to help us pursue our real needs.

Honestly, I am quite agree with author's opinion, because writing can make people thinking deeper. Especially, when people writing about themselves. This is the rare chance to hear their inner voice, and they can find what they truly lack of or what they really need to do. Through writing about life journey, people can try to accept their real life, and they evaluate every element of lives and try to change life style. Finally, people could lead a better life with less regrets. I am also trying to keep an dairy, but , unfortunately, none of my dairy finished. However, I still get a lot from keeping a dairy. At high school, keeping dairy made me know myself better, and It tells me which subjects I should work on. My dairy also made me know I am an impatient person, so I am always trying to be more patient. Dairy also recorded every moment I have experienced. It leaves me an eternal memory.

It is also stated in the article, a woman named Siri initially wanted to improve her fitness, but as the primary breadwinner for her family she had to work long hours and already felt guilty about time spent away from her children. After prompting, she eventually wrote a new story, based on the same facts but with a more honest assessment of why she doesn’t exercise. The truth was that she did not like to exercise and also did not value her health enough. She used work and the kids as excuses to her lack of fitness.
